This is a private reference site, not a Meade County government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release an inmate, post bond, pull official records, change a court date, or give legal advice. Use the official office that controls the record or custody status.

Where to Ask

For current local custody, start with the Meade County Detention Center. For arrest reports or sheriff records, use the Sheriff's Office. Court charges and case files are handled by the Circuit Court Clerk, while county open-records requests use the Fiscal Court process under Kentucky open-records law.

Records and Dispatch

Meade County open-records requests may be sent to the Fiscal Court by mail, email, or the county's online form. The county states that it responds within five working days. Written records are listed at 10 cents per page, and non-written records are charged at actual cost. The county form also asks for a Kentucky residency statement, which reflects Kentucky's post-2021 open-records requirements under KRS 61.872.

For 911 or dispatch records, use the Meade County Dispatch records process rather than the jail. The non-emergency dispatch number is 1-270-422-4182, and the research identifies mail, drop-off, and email as available request routes for 911 records.
